Mia's Sunday

by April | Score: 4850

I sat down and breakfast was served. I smiled as a took a big spoonful of cereal. It was a perfect morning. Nothing could ruin it!
"Mia! I need your help dusting!" my mom exclaimed suddenly. I grunted and quickly finished my cereal. I grabbed the feather duster and began dusting. My phone rang and I saw it was my unwilling astrologer uncle.
"Hey, Uncle, what's up?" I asked.
"Don't tell your mother, but I lost my job," my uncle responded.
"Oh! Well, don't you hate your job?" I asked.
"I did, but now I worked hard in vain," my uncle responded.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, I wanted to be victorious in proving vampires exist in the galaxy," my uncle explained.
I listened carefully as I entered the kitchen and used a fork to steal a piece of pie.
"Yes! Victory!" my brother exclaimed from his room where he was playing video games about an adventurous art historian.
"Mia, are you on your phone?" my mom asked.
I stayed silent. I wasn't supposed to be on my phone until after I finished dusting.
"Sorry, Uncle, call you later, " I whispered and hung up. "No, Mom!" I yelled answering my mom's question.
I heard a candy wrapper noise coming from my brother's room and he said, "Come on! That snobby astronomer beat me!"
"Hey, has your uncle lost his job yet?" my mom asked.
"Well..." I didn't know what to answer. Uncle had told me to stay quiet, but I had to be honest. I stared at the fish expecting them to answer for me. They stayed silent.
