Inside a Haunted House (Hour 4)

Suddenly I woke up with a gasp. I'd fallen asleep! That makes sense, since I hadn't slept in days. I checked the time to see how long I'd lasted. Three hours had passed. I groaned. Time was passing by as slowly as a turtle crossing the road with an old lady! I decided to continue my story.
"Ready?" Tony asked.
"To go to school? I am never ready," the boy answered.
"Come on, Micah, let's get to school," Tony said walking along the sidewalk with his friend trailing behind him.
"Hey, Tony?" Micah asked.
"Hmm?"
"Did we have English homework last night?"
Tony froze and almost made Micah bump into him. He turned hurriedly to his friend. "Please tell me you didn't forget."
"All right, I won't tell you," Micah said.
"You forgot, didn't you?"
"I forgot."
"Micah! We had to make our presentation on which we prefer, salt or pepper!" Tony explained anxious.
"Well salt, obviously! Every curious fisherman uses salt!" Micah replied.
Tony simply shook his head but couldn't hold back a smile. Lately, Micah had been obsessed with a book series called "The True Love of a Fisherman." The part Tony found funniest was that the true love of the fisherman always carried a bottle of lotion with her. What for? Nobody knew.
"I can't believe I forgot to do the homework last night! I went to bed and thought I'd done everything important!" Micah exclaimed suddenly worried about homework.
"You didn't do any of the homework," Tony argued.
"It wasn't important! Listen to the words that come out of my mouth, Tony!" Micah exclaimed making sure to pronounce each word carefully.
