Candle

Khanez was in his room, working on old documents, sorting through them. He of course was all alone. He preferred the silence, the feeling of nothing, but him. Or perhaps that was all he ever knew, and just didn't feel comfortable changing. To be fair, that made more sense. He sighed and rubbed at his temple, setting the highlighter down. He got out of his chair and stretched, putting his chair back in a comfortable position he grabbed the candle holder on his desk and moved it to his bedstand. He went to his window and after removing the clamp that kept the window shut, he opened the window allowing a full gust of air greet him. He put the clamp on the far side of the window sill, he had the clamp in the first place because someone got into his room one time through the window, and thus he always kept the clamp. He looked outside, the sun was setting, but somehow that didn't deter people from walking outside, he heard a very loud and annoying voiced man selling items to bidders. He looked over to the church, there he saw two people talking, one person held the same wear as the other, but held himself in a very tight position, a guarded position. He definitely seemed reluctant in something. Khanez sighed and closed the door finding that five minutes was a break enough and that it was time to get back to work. He closed the window and put the clamp back on. He headed back to his desk bringing the candle, he wondered why he even brought it to his bedstand, but ever since he met Cyrus, he just wanted some source of warmth near him. He just felt safer, and with Cyrus gone across the sea on a mission, he found himself, found that something was missing within him. Shaking his head and sitting back in his chair he pulled his computer in front of him, setting the documents aside and got back to work.
