Murder Mystery

by Annette Mykayla Hernandez | Score: 2250

I arrive on scene first, which means legally I am to be in charge. I walk from my car to the north side of the building and radio over that I need backup.
I notice what I believe to be blood, but as soon as I think that I remember what my instructor at the academy said "It is to be called red substance, for all we know it could be a smashed tomato, and how would that look in court with a defense lawyer all over you," her voice echos in my ear.
I hear two police cars pull into the parking lot and quad the area off. One at each opposite corner. When the third arrives on scene  he walks towards me and opens his mouth.
"Sup Taylor," he says, "give me an update," he says.
"Called in for yelling and screaming, although since I got here it's been quite, and I haven't tried looking through windows yet," I reply.
He nods his head and stacks in front of me. He knocks and announces,  and enters into a hallway. I spot droplets of red leading to another room, and when I open that door I see a pool of red. I see a severed hand behind a desk and carefully poke it with my gun at the low and ready. There is a body covered in blood and she mumbles something while pointing, and then my backup yells. I turn to see a man pointing a gun and my backup. He has his gun up and he fires but the man doesn't go down, yet rather continues on chasing my backup up.
