From Country to City

by Alyssa | Score: 3700

The city life is a new experience for Tod. Things like the constant busy crowd of people, sirens in the distance, or even just the way people talk are new for him.
Tod grew up in a small town, going to a small school with his small group of friends. He would play games in the little cul' de sac he lived in with his friends or he would stay in reading different books. His favorite was Harry Potter of course. His father work as a stoic fisherman and his mother was an idle shoemaker.
But that was when he was a child. Things are different now. He has a job as a successful accountant in a big company in the city.
He sighed while going to the store for a few things he needs. Even if he is successful now, the city life is stressful for him. He thought while reaching for a bar of soap.
In the middle of shopping, he hears some shouting.
"I win! I win! WOOHOO!" He looked over after placing a nice set of metal forks into his cart to see what happened. He sees a man holding up a lottery ticket with the happiest face Tod has seen in a while.
"I win the lottery!" The man yelled before running to the cashier to get his prize.
