The man sat down and he looked up, staring into the eyes of his father who had come by. They were there to right the wrongs of the past, the sufferings that were endured from before. It was a sad sight really, you could tell the man held back a force, an unstoppable urge. His father opened his mouth, then closed it. He picked up the coffee mug and drank, his eyes darting back and forth. The man watched him. Then he spoke. "Son. I am sorry, for everything." 
They fell silent. The son burst out laughing, uncontrollably. He shook and slapped the table, then banged down on it. His fist shook. "I can not believe.. it took you THIS... this long to mutter those words." The man said, cackling. Then he cried. He cried so hard. He did not believe this was happening. That truly after all the years of torment, it lead to a measly exchange of apologies, that merely meant nothing. He returned his arms to the desk, in a natural and fixed pose. He shook his head. Every bone in his body seemed repelled. This interaction brought out the child in him. His irrational fear, the trembling he felt deep within his bones. He felt so scared of this frail old man he had invited to his home, his space, even though he boasted a bigger build, and capacity for destruction. Yet all that destruction was channeled inwards, all the blame and the pain of the years, he searched desperately in his head to excuse the wrongs of his father, that perhaps his upbringing, his own damage, his own troubles, could excuse his. His emotional scars, and his depression, all of which had plagued him for the years he had left... were now a fading memory. Something to disregard, merely a burden. He had wanted to be someone, someone amongst the stars, or within, a zealous astronomer. His dreams and passions as grand as a red star. But alas, it was crushed. By none other... than his father,
