The Thing that Lives in the Attic

Logan Patrick sits on the ground outside in the mud. The summer heat making him sweat puddles. He's playing in his grandmother's front yard in the mud and water. It had rained the night before and made mud in the dirt. Even though Logan is fifteen, he still enjoys the mud and toy cars. He is socially awkward and has no friends. He sits outside while is grandmother is napping in the down stairs couch. Just then he hears his name being called from the upstairs. Logan gets up, wipes the mud off his overalls, and walks up the steps the his grandmother's bedroom. "How strange," He thought to himself. "How did Nana get upstairs by herself?" He walked into his grammas room and found a poker card lying on the carpeted ground. Logan picked it up and it said on the back, "Go to the attic, I have a surprise for you." Logan jumped with excitement as his gramma knew he loved surprises. "Logannnn." A  quiet voice says from up the attic stairs. "Oh gramma your good." He smirked and climbed up the dusty attic steps and into the darkness. Logan looked around and only saw boxes of junk and dust everywhere, no gramma. The confused boy looked around again and still saw nothing, but then he heard a voice coming from the corner to his right. "Come find me! I'm hiding!" The voice
