Jonah sighed heavily, the gust of hot breath flicking up a strand of his hair away from his face as he sat idly in the cold jail cell, waiting for someone to come pick him up.
"It's your lucky day, Lynch," the guard officer bellowed into his cell whilst unlocking it, "Whoever you called must have been very important... you're being let out."
Jonah smirked as he stood up lazily from the uncomfortable bench and sauntered out of the cell, giving the guard an almost mocking smile.
As he walked out, he spotted an annoyed looking Declan and was unable to hold in his unstoppable laugh, he thought the look on Declan's face was priceless but Dec obviously did not agree as he opened his mouth to reprimand him.
"Please, Jordan, why do you insist on getting yourself into these situations?" Declan spoke up in a tired voice. He knew there was no hope for his cousin but he tried nonetheless, he had been trying for the past three years.
"Hey! It wasn't that bad... this time," Jordan objected, "It was just vandalism and graffiti." He smiled, proud of himself, as he handed over the Queen of diamonds card to Declan as compensation for the favor - it was part of a deal they had made years ago, whenever one of them needed a favor from the other, they had to give up a card from their deck until all their cards were gone... Jordan had about 20 left.
