by Laraine Blythe | Score: 2050

Catherine Jones sits on her front porch watching as the sunsets in her quiet small-town farm. Her children, Andrew and Mary, play on the swing set in front of the cornfield. Bob, her husband walks out of the house carrying spiked ice tea. "Thank you, darling." Catherine looked at her husband and smiled. "Of course dear," Bob said, kissing her on the cheek. They sit and watch the sunset together in the summer heat.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Andrew yells from his bedroom. Catherine opens the door finds her beloved son sitting up in bed with tears rolling down his face. "Oh baby what's the matter?" "We're gonna die." he wailed. "What are you talking about of course we're not gonna die." Andrew pulled on his mother's hair and whispered in her ear, "But the scary man said we were." Catherine blinked a few times, scared of what her son just told her. Just then her husband yells from downstairs to come look at the TV. Catherine grabs Andrew and Mary and walked down stairs. The TV explains, "There have been multiple sightings of strange humanoid creatures walking the streets of the world. The first sighting was in London when a man was driving passed a grocery store and saw, what he claimed was an alien, staring at him in an alleyway.
