A Ship at Sea

by Arlo | Score: 1600

A call to the sea,
It sings in my bones and my soul,
As I have always wished I could be,
Free, with my heart left whole.
The winds roar and they scream,
Bleeding in the ships,
I hide myself from my dream,
From the lies left in my scripts.
Bravery in the depths,
Trapped hidden from view,
Life left lingering behind,
Things I never knew.
Drink in the shadows,
Howl at the moon,
Your ships rolls in the waves throes,
Your rest will come soon.
A call to the sea,
That which we don't know,
All that I wished I could be,
That place where terror does flow.
The waves crash on the shore,
Rip holes in the bow,
The winds horrible roar,
As through darkness we plough.
