Broken Mind

by S. L. Forbes | Score: 2450

It was an empty room, with white walls, white floors, and a bed. It was enough to make a man lose their mind. But you can't lose what was never there. " Dr. Yuseif, the patient isn't responding to the treatment. He's just...sitting there. It appears his mind was broken before his admission to the hospital."
Dr. Yuseif watched as the man looked at the puzzle set before him.
"I've never seen anything like this before. This is by far one of the worst cases of insanity I've ever seen."
" Doctor, what can we do? His background seems perfectly fine. Was once a garden designer, went to Berkley..."
" Must have lost it on the job..."
Both doctors screamed in horror as the patient pressed his face against the mirror window.
" I can seeeee youuuuu..." he murmured while scratching his yellow fingernails against the looking glass.
" Dr. Yuseif, what do we do?"
"Call the men from Floor 8. Tell them we have a Level 9 emergency and to bring the priest."
" Yes, Doctor."
she quickly scrambled out of the room, fumbling for her walkie-talkie. She stopped as she heard the room's door creak open.
" Doctor...?"
