Dinner Chat

by Jennings Alverson | Score: 2200

"Agh!" Alex groans, putting the device on the table. "I can't believe I lost again!"

His mom sighs, rolling her eyes.

"Stop playing in that device of yours, we came here to eat!" She scolds, exasperated.

The place in question is a restaurant, its neither too big, nor too small. Alex thinks it's quite lame, personally, and he has never really enjoyed the food from here, but he dutifully puts his gaming device away.

When the food is there though, he stealthily open the device again, playing a bit, until one sound is too loud and his parents notice.

"You shouldn't have heard that!" He exclaims, his hands sweaty.

"What's so important you're playing all the time?" His dad asks.

"Well, I am on this quest to find this quartz crystal," he starts, continuing to explain to his parents all the game mechanics and how amazing it is.

His parents listen attentively, asking questions here and there.

It's a very nice afternoon, and he looks forward to the next visit to the restaurant.
