Smith was at an end of the world party, He had an overpriced margarita in his hand, his fourth, and he was feeling it.
Not that that the world would end. But some doomsayers said it would hit the Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano, which would, when struck, cover the continental USA and much of Canada in in ash. It had erupted before, and excavations as far away as Tennessee showed five feet of accumulated ash. As for the world, it would be trapped in a d
decade- long winter. No crops or food.
So be it.
Smith ordered another margarita.
