I Lost the Game

by Anonymous | Score: 2000

In the middle of the night, Shelby heard a soft whisper. In the transient sleep state, confused if it is a part of her dream or reality she decides to slightly open her eyes just to have some clarification that everything is alright. As she looked towards the window, there was light shining through the curtain from the street lights. however, the light did not shine on the closet like it always did. Instead, she was looking at a faint egg-shaped human head. The eyes were grey and the mouth was blurry from the fast whispers it was making of unknown spells. The ghost wanted to play a game. Dumbfounded, she couldn't move or make sense out of it. She looked at her wrist watch and watched the time flip from 3:33am to 3:32. This cant be real, time can not go backwards. I must be dreaming she thought. The head started moving closer and vaguely made a request to play with it. It wants to repeat the whispers with it. Without her consent, her lips uncontrollably starter mirroring the ghost's mouth. She lost the game at this point.
