Shalen knew they were watching her. No one believed her. No one believed that the Yondare would watch someone like Shalen.
"The Yondare only watches the weirdos!" said Appel. He beeped his horn "beep beep bep beep beep," and shot Shalen a grin. "You'll be fine, Shalen. Look at me, I'm just fine!"
Shalen waved him away, attempting a smile back at him as he drove away, cheerily whistling. She turned back to her house. She grabbed the box Appel delivered and swung open the door.
Crash! The clamp that was keeping the hinges of her door together fell off. "Shoot!" Shalen said. She put down the package and got to work putting the clamp back on the door.
By the time she had finished, her friend, Ghellie had opened the door and knocked the clamp off again.
"You need to get that fixed for good," Ghellie scolded. "I swear, sometimes you're as bad as my patients! You can fix it, you just need to work hard and do it! Besides, by this point it's less work to just get it done than not."
