Linda was doing her normal work in her cubicle when she was called by the big boss. Like the BIG big boss. She nervously went to his office and knocked. She nervously opened the door to reveal the boss sitting there with a grim look on his face. "Linda," he started, "You are a very hard worker and the company doesn't know what we would do without you. But recently we have been through hard times and we aren't earning as much as before so we will have to let you go. Sorry." Linda's eyes starting watering. "I understand Mr. Wellington." Linda left the room, got her stuff, and left. She sat near the docks at the beach and started silently sobbing. A sailor came near her and asked her how he looked, why she was crying, about how his wife was pregnant. But he kept asking why she was crying. Linda had enough and just got up and left. She ran to her house and started stress cooking. She created one of her favorite meals. Spicy chicken salad. Linda realized she doesn't have any spice in her spice bottle. She got her wallet left for the store to buy more spice for the meal. She got her spice and paid for it. By the time Linda left the store, she heard cries for help so she ran to where the cries came from.
