Cold Bones

by Scarlet Siren | Score: 350

I glance around, a sense of dread settling over me. My skin prickles. There's a rustle in the bushes, but when I turn to look, there's nothing there.
"Probably just an animal." Laughing nervously, I hurry down the street. As soon as I get to my house, I rush inside and lock the door. Moving to close the curtains, I freeze.
The woman stands on the sidewalk, staring inside my window. I shut the curtains and back away, reaching for my phone. A hand grabs my wrist. It's long, slender fingers are cold as ice.
