Banana Toast

by L.K. Schiller | Score: 2550

"Breakfast is ready!" I heard my mother call from the kitchen. Tired and slouching, I walked to the kitchen in my silk pyjamas. I saw my mother, she was in her usual bright and happy mood drinking coffee. I smiled at her, making my eyebags wrinkle. I looked down and saw my mum has made bananas on toast; my favourite.
After I finished my toast I opened my closet and picked out my outfit. I decided to wear a plain, white sundress and black strapped sandals. I grabbed my worn-out denim backpack and looked at the clock in my room and realised I was 10 minutes late to school.
I ran to school almost breaking my sandals. Luckily when I got there my teacher; Mrs Stallions wasn't there. Finally, after a few minutes, a man walks in explaining why. Turns out Mrs Stallions just gave birth to a baby boy. I should have figured, she was pregnant for a very long time. I was surprised she didn't give birth sooner than then.
