Downpour damage

The downpour of rain is keeping us all inside. I want to go see my friends, but the rain is holding me back. The teardrops are keeping us silent. I know that it won't stop till tomorrow. I look outside at the rain coming down on us. That night when I went to bed, I dreamed of a sunny day, tomorrow. I cuddle my soft toy as I drifted off to sleep, the rain not far behind me. 

I sat up the next morning, to find that the rain had stopped! I ran outside and jumped and looked around. I realize that the road was still too wet, but I could go to my friend's house! I quickly ran upstairs to ask mum, but she said no! I sulked to my room and spent the whole morning there! When it was lunch, my friend called me and I answered. She asked if my house took any damage, but luckily it didn't. My friend said to look at the news. As my finger's touched the buttons, I saw what the rain had
