Summer could feel her heart breaking at the sight before her, the poor puppy's leg was bleeding in front of a damaged bicycle and there seemed to be nobody else around her that cared. She could still hear the quiet melodies of the piano from inside the music store they were in front of, almost as though it was a backing track to this tragedy.
Her immediate thought was to bring it into the music store that she frequented to try to get someone to help her as she had no form of transportation to the nearest, very far away vet, but she really did not want to encounter her violin teacher's overeager assistant who thought he knew everything there was to know about the instrument or anything else in life; instead she paused, trying to figure out what to do next then a gust of long dreadlocks flew past her towards the dog before kneeling down and wrapping what looked like a bandage around its leg.
Summer smiled at the sight before speaking up, "Um hi, is this your dog?"
The person seemed startled but replied with worry in their voice as they turned to face Summer, "yeah, she accidentally jumped out of the bike basket so I had to run to get her a bandage... thanks for keeping her company..." the man trailed off, obviously looking for Summer's name.
"Summer," she interjected but kept going noticing his confusion, "that's my name, Summer."
"Well, Summer," he smirked, "My name is Ty, would you like to help me take my dog to the vet?"
