Legend bounded along the forest floor, panting heavily. He had to find Eris, had to avenge his father's death...
Only a few days ago, Eris had come to their house. The jade green dragon swiftly befriended his father. Everything seemed fine... then, this morning, Legend had awoken to find his father gone. He had wandered their small house, but it was completely deserted. Eris was gone, too. Legend found his father a short distance away, hidden in a pile of brush. Jade scales littered the ground around him. In that moment, Legend vowed to avenge his father.
In a short while, the young dragon came upon a clearing surrounded by houses. The houses were camouflaged and neatly blended with the surrounding jungle. Legend walked over to one of the houses, pulling aside the vines covering the doorway. Inside lay a violet dragon, snoring peacefully. Legend backed away, not wanting to wake her up, but she started, opening bright blue eyes.
"Oh, hi Legend!" she said sleepily.
"Hi, Ellie," Legend said. "Sorry I woke you up."
"It's no big deal," Ellie said cheerfully, stretching so the spines on her back
