A World of Darkness

by Charlotte Joyce | Score: 4350

World peace has been achieved!  So what happens next.  Does everyone just go back to their desks in harmony and work somewhere?  The sun has gotten more hotter than normal and the only thing that could be done is to make peace with themselves.  A passionate mortician will lose their enthusiasm.  Death was imminent.  Death was having to say hello.  Delilah would never be able to see her husband again.  And it wasn't the normal becoming a widow.  Her eyes had darkened.  The radio was her only friend.  Her reluctant driving instructor couldn't believe that she wanted to drive and told her to go to the zoo instead.  The sounds of the animals were much to be her comfort.  Not the hum of a vehicle she couldn't drive.  'Ms. Zoo wasn't a good person', Delilah thought but she went anyway not wanting a problem for starting trouble within the driving center.  The key chains rattled within her pockets.  She couldn't believe that she tried to keep this appointment she made a year ago before the accident.  She lamented that she couldn't see the faces of the people when they were happy and at peace, but she could feel a change in the air.  The zoo was just a walk away and she could hear the sounds.  They were right!  A diligent judge of her situation.  But then, something explodes.
