The ghost

by Anonymous | Score: 2000

Stuart stopped dead in his tracks. For a moment he couldn't move, he wanted to scream, but not a sound left his mouth, he wanted to run, but his feet stayed stuck to the ground.

Finally, he shook his and ran. He ran as fast as he could out of the front door and crashed. Then he screamed. His older sister stared at him as he tried to compose himself.

"Stuart, what are you doing? And why are you screaming?"

"Do. Not. Go. In." He panted as he tried to calm his nerves.

"Don't be silly, what are you talking about."

Lexi made her way through the door and took her coat off, hanging it on the hook behind the door. She left the door open, thinking Stuart would follow her in. He didn't.

"Come on, what's wrong with you?" she shouted to him.

"The kitchen...there's a...just don't go in the kitchen."

Stuart hovered in the doorway, his body refusing to let him walk in.

"Will you just tell me what's going on."

Lexi was starting to get impatient, she was quickly getting fed up of Stuart and his lack of explanation.

"Theres a ghost...I saw...I saw a ghost in the kitchen."

Stuart crept inside and stood beside Lexi. She reached over and pushed the door closed behind him before pulling him into a hug.

"Its ok Stuart, it was probably just a shadow or something. There is no ghosts honey."
