The problem with boxes

by no one | Score: 4700

It was raining and cold....and I was sitting in my bedroom listening to Taylor Swift while wearing my Winnie the Pooh pajama pants. A knock at the door interrupted my "jam session". I walked downstairs, being careful not to wake my sister who was asleep on the couch and opened the front door. A large box was sitting on the threshold.
"What's that honey?"
I cringed as my mom walked into the room. She worked part time as an occupational therapist and part time as a mom.
"Umm, nothing" I said, standing in front of the box in attempt to hide it.
"Okay," she said in her 'I don't believe you but I'm going to let you get away with it' voice.
I hauled the box up to my room. Inside was a pair of water goggles and another larger box. A note was taped to the water goggles.
Dear Acacia,
I found these under my bed. They're yours and I though you might want them back. Also, I'm sorry about running over your dog with my bike. I still love you.
I smiled and pulled the second box out and set it down...on my foot.
"Why me?!" I whispered in a pained voice as I moved it off of my foot.
Inside were bricks and a stuffed animal?
Confused I pulled everything out. In the bottom of the box was a small pink box where I kept all of my love letters. My heart skipped a beat.
'Why did Brock have this?' I thought; I opened it a found that it was empty.
Panicking, I called Brock.
"Hey, what's going on?" he asked in his usual easy going manner.
"Brock, where are my old love letters?" I asked.
"Um, yeah about that," he said, avoiding the question.
"Brock Preston, answer me."
"I burned them." he said.
"What?!" I yelped; my dog whined from his place on my bed.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked.
"You and I are together now. Other guys shouldn't be getting even a second of your attention." he said defessively.
"That doesn't mean you burn all of my old love letters! You know what? That was the last straw, okay? You haven't trusted me for the pas three years and this is the icing on the cake. You constantly read my messages and-ugh! I'm done. I'm breaking up with you."
