Monopoly Rage

The table flipped upwards like a great wave of wood. I had just been sipping my gin and tonic, sneering at Charlie from around the straw.
He was on the other side of the Monopoly board, fidgeting and slowly turning red as he eyed all my properties and the ways he was in trouble.
Then, I blinked. When I opened my eyes again, the table was upright, shedding the board, pieces, fake money, and glasses to the floor with a clatter and tinkling smash.
I leapt up and knocked my chair back, G&T sloshing, as the table's top finally met the floor, legs sticking upright like a dead beetle.
