"Breakfast is served" mum said placing down the large stack of pancakes in the middle of the table. Jonah moved his colouring book and markers off the table and stared in awe, syrup oozing from his mind already. great. pancakes. again. for once I would like something else but no, pancakes again.
I got up from the table, "actually I need to get going if I don't want to be late for school" I left before mum could protest, or remind me what time it is.
I arrived at the courner shop with a growling stomach. as the bell rang the man behind the counter looked up "Erin" he yelled "look!" he held up a woppie cushion, pushing it, letting off the noise, and laughing, "new stock"
"cool" I said, trying to sound as intrested as I could. "Have you got my cooking magasine?" I asked expectantly, usually Marc only sold tha magasines that he had on the shelf but I had arranged a deal with him that if he ordered into the store the cookery mag that I wanted to be able to make a ton of international recipies, I would make some and bring them to his house. He agreed of course, I was and amazing cook after all.
"No sorry," he said sadly "I can't order them in anymore, it's too much hassle"
I tried to not let the dissapointment show on my face and walked to the refrigerated food aisle to grab myself a meal deal. I looked down at my bangle bracelet that my dad gave me before he died. he was the one who taught me to cook. I grabbed a sandwhich and a pudding container and went back to the counter to pay for it.
